Point Claude Code at AnyModel

    Install Claude Code

    Install the Claude Code CLI from Anthropic first. The AnyModel command configures an existing installation; it does not install the CLI.

    Create an AnyModel key

    Register, copy the key and keep it out of repositories, screenshots and shared shell history.

    Run the configurator

    Use the command for macOS/Linux below. Windows users can use the PowerShell variant from the dashboard instructions.

Will it work without a VPN? How can I pay?

Claude Code talks to the endpoint written into its configuration. If AnyModel is reachable from your network, the CLI does not need a direct Anthropic API account for this setup. Reachability still varies by ISP, region and time, so test it rather than relying on a permanent ‘without VPN’ promise.

Payment options are account- and provider-specific. The checkout may offer cards, local transfers or crypto depending on the active rail. A particular Russian card, RUB settlement or SBP is available only when it is shown during checkout.

This route does not grant Claude Max benefits and is not an official Anthropic service. It is a metered compatible endpoint, which is often a better fit for occasional or variable coding workloads.

Claude Code in Russia FAQ

Can Claude Code work in Russia through AnyModel?

It can work where the AnyModel endpoint is reachable and Claude Code accepts the configured endpoint. Network conditions vary, so verify it from the machine and network you plan to use.

Does this require Claude Max?

No. Requests are billed to the AnyModel pay-as-you-go balance. The setup does not include or imitate a Claude Max subscription.

Can I use Claude Code without a VPN?

Possibly, if AnyModel is directly reachable from your network. This cannot be guaranteed for every ISP or future network condition, so run a short connection test.

Can I pay with a Russian card or SBP?

Only when the checkout offers that rail to your account. Payment availability changes with providers; do not treat a particular method as guaranteed.
